LAWV Welcomes Six New Employees


Legal Aid of West Virginia welcomed six new employees at its staff orientation July 11-12, 2018. 

The new staffers will be located at five of LAWV's satellite offices throughout the state and will specialize in multiple departments. 

Attorney Joe Kozlowski will work on financial exploitation cases in the Charleston, WV, joining as the department's fourth attorney dedicated to fighting this specific and growing concern in the elder abuse field.

Sabrina Harper will also be working at the state headquarters in Charleston as a staff accountant, where she will work under the CFO as the lead accountant overseeing payroll and expenses. 

Laura Turman joins LAWV as a FAST advocate in Martinsburg, WV. FAST advocates work with children with mental and behavioral disorders who need assistance in West Virginia communities. As an advocate, Laura's work will change the lives of youth, both in and out of school, in all facets of their lives.

Lisa Hartline will work in LAWV's Parkersburg office as a TANF attorney, helping disabled West Virginians access life-changing benefits.  

Martin McKeen has come on board as a new staff attorney in Beckley, WV.

Another staff attorney, Ken Bannon, has joined LAWV's Huntington office.
