What is Lawyer in the School?

Lawyer in the School is Legal Aid’s program in Cabell, Kanawha, Marion, and Wayne counties that offers free legal help clinics to families of school-aged children on-site in schools. 

Are Lawyer in the School clinics still open?

No. Currently, all Lawyer in the School on-site legal clinics are suspended until further notice due to safety measures around COVID-19.

Can I still get Lawyer in the School services?

Yes. During this temporary suspension of on-site clinics, we will still be available to assist school families by telephone or email only.
